Evaluation Objective 1: Universal Evaluation Standards & Protocols

The DAPCEP Evaluation committee developed a process and instrument to assess the attitudinal effect of DAPCEP courses. This universal DAPCEP evaluation tool was piloted during the Fall 2010 program session. All DAPCEP participants, Grades 6th-12th, were administered the instrument. Summary results are below.

 

The attitudinal data coupled with the academic assessment each program provider has developed will provide the organization, much needed information for reporting back to funders about the impact of the program.

 

Evaluation Objective 2: Assist With the Implementation of DAPCEP Online Student Registration & Data Tracking System

The Evaluation Committee and DAPCEP staff continue to refine the online application and database system used by parents and providers to register DAPCEP students. The database system is currently functional and being utilized by registrants and program providers. The Evaluation Committee and staff are working with the IT consulting company to refine the management interface and data presentation.

 

Evaluation Objective 3: Collect Data Regarding Student Outcomes

The Evaluation Committee is continuously working with the program committee and participant database to refine student record information. The group is working in adherence to personal database management and the requirements of Michigan State University’s Institutional Review Board (IRB.)
