“One of my most memorable experiences with DAPCEP was spending time at Lawrence Technological University. As a middle school student, actually sitting in a college classroom on a real campus was inspiring — it made the idea of higher education tangible and attainable. The hands-on STEM exposure, the encouraging instructors, and the sense of belonging among other young Black learners helped me envision a future in engineering.
